December 10th, 2009.
This premiere remains for now the only one I've ever done TWICE. Once with every photo as I usually have - a mix of black'n'white, colour, crop, and so on. But then I decided to pay homage to James Cameron's 'famous' blue-filter-widescreen style and repost all the photos, re-edited both in widescreen, blue-filter and (in honour of it being a 3D computer-graphiced movie) slightly cartoonised style. Here's how it went down...
Okay, so perhaps like James Cameron, you look at the state of my Standard Movie Premiere Journals and ask yourself 'why?'. Why do what everyone else is doing? Perhaps you decide it's time to go bigger, better, and more ambitious. Because you're James Cameron and you don't do small.
So in honour of the James Cameron philosophy, for this premiere only, I've got two Premiere Journals, except this one is much better because all photos are in 2:1 aspect ratio, all are in colour at a full 800 pixels in width, and all are tweaked in the filter to be more James Cameron-blue AND look like photorealistic CGI. (Rather than, you know... photorealistic real life!)
Sadly, if you can't see them fully, it means you need to upgrade your cinema!
So... one film, and you can see it in IMAX 3D, Regular Cinema 3D, or Regular Cinema 2D. My ticket is for the middle one... I've already bought it. I hope it's good.
Until next time!
