April 9th, 2017
I'd been back in the country for less than 24hours (I had been in Germany on a holiday that coincided with the premieres of The Smurfs : The Lost Village and Fast & Furious 8) when I arrived at the Royal Albert Hall for this year's Oliviers, the award ceremony that has proven my utter lack of knowledge of the cultural cornerstone of national theatre in 2014, 2015 and 2016). Where else would I be in 2017 except right here to do it again?
Here's how it went down (file note : all references to nominees and winners were added after the event, and should not be taken as evidence of my credibility!):
And that, everybody, is how I spend my Sundays : standing in a pen, mostly confused, photographing many people I don't know, and later finding out how successful my strategy of "photograph people who look interesting, and hope they end up winning" was. This year? Rather poor. But it's a hobby! (And another entry into the Archive of Movie Premieres)
Until next time!
ps. if you ever want to know when I post one of these journals (and why wouldn't you - surely the confused ineptitude must be somewhat amusing, no?) - feel free to follow me on twitter at 'berndt2photo', or on facebook at 'premieresdotco'.
