Today I had a rather unfair choice : I run a website LITERALLY called "premieres.co" and I was required to choose between a World Premiere at Westfields for 'The House With A Clock In Its Walls' ... or one of my favourite "diversionary" events on the London calendar : the GQ Men of the Year Awards. I've only missed one since 2011, I think?
Anyway.... no regrets. Here's how it went down:
So... that was rather enjoyable, actually. And of course the delayed train due to some kind of unforeseen circumstances relating to a55hole companies being able to take on rail franchises they lack the competence to run meant I had plenty of time to select the photos for this journal (I took about 3500). Huzzah!
Until next time!
..... and as per usual, here's who I photographed but didn't put in the journal who ended up being important (more important than... I mean... we're all important... but you know what I mean!):
Which means I'm still missing the following : Sportsman of the Year (Harry Kane... and I'm not sure he attended), Hugo Boss Breakthrough Actor (Tom Bateman), Design Legend of the Year (Ralph Lauren, who I don't believe attended), Vero Breakthrogh Solo Artist (Jorja Smith who based on light analysis of paparazzi red carpet photographs might also have arrived after I left), Lifetime Achievement (Johnny Marr, and I need to look for a guy wearing a leather jacket on the red carpet), Fashion Icon of the Year (Naomi Campbell, who I don't believe attended), Television Actor of the Year (Elisabeth Moss, who arrived after I left), and the Editor's Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to Philanthropy (Prince Charles, who I'm not sure attended).
