Sadly (?) I missed the mayhem at yesterday's BFI Opening premiere for 'Suffragettes' because every now and then an offer good enough to not refuse came along (sadly not involving Charlize Theron, but here's hoping for the future).
Instead, I had to make do with Day 2's premiere for the movie 'Trumbo'. Here's how it went down:
So.. that was that. No controversy, a fairly small crowd, far too many people on the red carpet and 2/3 of the stars not really getting particularly close. If I was the vindictive type, I'd say that this premiere was badly enough organised that I actually want the movie it's for to do badly. And that's kind of where I'm at. But you should totally watch Ridley Scott's "The Martian" - it's pretty awesome.
Until next time! (it's London Film Festival, so in this context that means (hopefully) tomorrow)
....and of course it's another entry into my Archive of Movie Premieres
