It's been close to two weeks since my last premiere, that of the Paul Feig / Melissa McCarthy movie "Spy". Since then it's been dull, boring and... weirdly, mostly sunny in London.
This premiere, though, is for a movie based on a TV show that if memory serves oozes mysoginy in the same way that people who brag about liking Big Game Hunting in Africa are kind of viewed as out-of-place and out-of-touch with the norms of today. Weirdly, I have both fond memories of the show, and am currently single. I think it's my taste in ties that's to blame, mostly.
Anyway, grab that electric guitar, grab your friends, and see if you still have that Janes Addiction song somewhere in your iTunes library (I do) and see how it went down:
So... that was that... and it was pretty cool. It's the first time for a LONG time I've been at a premiere where I'd never photographed ANYONE on The Poster. That hasn't happened since Anchorman 2, and in contrast to that movie, I actually liked the show this movie was spawned from. Tomorrow? Another premiere. Hopefully.
Until then, it's another movie for The Archive of Movie premieres.
