September 23rd, 2017.
Although I had my doubts, an upcoming minor drought of premieres in the coming fortnight meant that I felt it might be worth coming in to town for the newly announced 'World' Premiere for "Bees Make Honey" as part of the Raindance Film Festival.
I've been stung by 'World' premieres before (and recently).... and here's how it went down:
And then I do what I often do - I checked on wireimage and saw who it was that I'd missed.... and went back into the photographs I'd taken, hoping against hope that maybe, just MAYBE, somewhere in the background, perhaps I'd find.... something unlikely. .... Hermione Corfield, for instances, had worn a blue fuzzy coat so audacious I'd almost have to have photographed her, even subconsciously, unless something major had happened at the same time as she arrived....
... and amazingly it had.
So... that was, rather unexpectedly, not the worst Red-Carpet-Less, Security-Less, Wristband-Less, Stage-Less, Public-Pen-Less World Premiere I've been at! (This year!). And that's considerably better than I'd expected coming in to this thing....
For now there aren't really any premieres scheduled until London Film Festival in about two weeks from now... so until then/next time!
ps. if you ever want to know when I post one of these journals, feel free to follow me on facebook at premieresdotco, or on twitter at berndt2_photo (unified branding : still a distant dream!), or I suppose you could shove an RSS feed on changes to my Archive of Premieres to see if anything's changed or been updated (RSS feeds... how DO they work?)
