December 12th, 2017.
And so, for the last time this year I'm off to photograph a premiere. And unlike two years ago, when I was in Tokyo while the premiere for 'The Force Awakens' was in London; and unlike one year ago, when the premiere of Rogue One : A Star Wars story destroyed much of the last remnants of any goodwill I might have had for both Pentax with its 'autofocus is a point of view, Anakin' attitude; and Disney with its "we don't need no stinkin' premieres, but we're flying out the stars and booking out a venue and inviting select fans, but no... you can't come" promotion strategy....
..Remarkably, it seems I'm in London for The Last Jedi. And that movie is having a premiere. A real one, I mean. And here's how it went down:
And then, one day later...
So.... that's that. 2017's slate of Premieres finishes (or rather, there's one later this week but I won't be attending) and I'm somehow still standing after it all!
Will I keep doing this? Well... I'm still a couple short of photographing that Magic 500th premiere, so here's hoping.
Until next year!
UPDATE : The Red Carpet Monochrome premiere journal with mostly all different photos is (finally) done, and it's here
