The 2019 Prop Store Auction

September / Early October 2019.

Just like the last two years, I headed down to BFI Imax on London’s South Bank in the days leading up to the annual Prop Store Auction to freely and wantonly photograph movie memorabilia I could never afford, let alone (realistically) display. And this year the likelihood of me attending EITHER of the two days of the auction itself is slim.

Still… here’s a sample of the 250 items that are themselves a sample of the 900 or so lots for sale. I’ll try to remember to update them with the prices they ultimately sold for (eventually) but for now I’ve put in the Estimates from the Prop Store Catalogue, which is here at this link. Meanwhile, journal links for : 2017 Prop Store Auction and 2018 Prop Store Auction.

By not taking a closer look, I am able to maintain the belief that they’ve paid Robert Downey Jnr to stand inside that cabinet and model that Tony Stark Suit and Iron Man helmet.
