Just like the last two years, I headed down to BFI Imax on London’s South Bank in the days leading up to the annual Prop Store Auction to freely and wantonly photograph movie memorabilia I could never afford, let alone (realistically) display. And this year the likelihood of me attending EITHER of the two days of the auction itself is slim.
Still… here’s a sample of the 250 items that are themselves a sample of the 900 or so lots for sale. Meanwhile, journal links for : 2017 Prop Store Auction and 2018 Prop Store Auction.
QUICK INTERRUPT : Jack Nicholson’s Axe from The Shining (which was not particularly evocatively mounted in the display) sold for £172,200
